Food & Nutrient Database
The food you meant, at the portion they eat.
Search a food and read every nutrient at a real portion. Compare two foods, or start from a nutrient and work back. Every value names the agency it comes from.

Built by people who know the work
“Banana” returns a banana.
Search ranks the whole food first, not banana cream cake. The database counts per 100 g; your client asks about one medium banana. So the profile reads at the portion, with its source on every row.
- The food you meant, first. Whole foods come before products, and filters narrow the search before it runs.
- Whose number it is. The agency, the dataset and the food group, under the name.
- A real portion. The column reads at 1 medium, 1 cup or your own amount, beside per 100 g.
- Its source on every row. A value the record does not carry stays blank. Blank is not zero.
Two screens, one record
Forward from a food. Backward from a nutrient.
Most lookups start from a food. A low intake starts from a nutrient: what can she eat that has magnesium in it, given she won't eat nuts? Both read the same cited sources, filtered the same way.
Where it lands.
“Is this better than that?” is the real conversation with a client. Pick one food, then another, and read them side by side at the same portion. The difference is arithmetic; we never call one better.

Filter first, then search.
Whole foods only, a food group in or out, or one brand, set before the search runs.

Read it at their portion.
Choose 1 cup, 1 medium, 100 g or your own amount. Every nutrient recalculates beside its per-100 g value.

Know where it came from.
The agency, the dataset and the record number sit on the profile, so anyone can check the number.
Turned toward the client
Clip it with its citation.
Clip a food, or its whole nutrient table, at the portion on screen. It waits in the Clipboard beside Practice Assist™, and goes into a resource, a blog post or a message.
The citation travels with it. The information is the agency's, and it says so wherever it goes.
Over time
Our foods: the ones your practice uses.
Star a food and it stays in Our foods, sortable and searchable like the database. Add a food by hand, a local product or a client's own recipe, and it is marked as a practice entry.
Practice entries are never mixed into the agencies' foods. A value nobody entered stays blank.
